Bellarine Print 8km Handicap

20160710_105125The predicted rain stayed away much to the relief of the 98 starters in the Bellarine Print 8 km handicap held at Ocean Grove.  The tide was well out which provided a great running surface with a 300 metre patch of seaweed the only drawback. It was Aaron Herbert who revelled in the conditions to beat evergreen Vin Gasper by 80 metres with Jeanette Morton close behind in third. Herbert is in his first year with the club and it was only his tenth race. He had put the writing on the wall with a placing the Sunday prior at Geelong Grammar School. Kate Bramley and James Dalton were easily the fastest of their gender.
