As they exited their vehicles, a stiff icy wind greeted the competitors in the Windows by Geoff Case King of the Mountain 10km handicap at the You Yangs Case, a three time world champion stair climber, was in attendance to present the winner’s sash. It was consistent placegetter, Grant Simpson, who ran down the Thompson siblings to win the prestigeous race. Rachael Thompson overtook her brother Sean to take second place. Simpson has being doing fast trackwork at Geelong Masters on Wednesday nights and is having a stellar season with another fastest time. Katie Eisenhauer won the battle for female fastest honours.
Michael Orelli and Andrew Smith were each acclaimed for reaching their 400 run milestone.
