Sixty-eight athletes turned up on a pleasant Sunday morning for The Running Company Geelong 15km sealed handicap with another thirty-one contesting the consolation 5 km event. The light breeze and the overcast sky made for great running conditions. It didn’t take long for Grant Simpson to career away with an ever increasing lead. In the female section, Caire Davis prevailed after a battle with Sara Coulter. When the handicappers Dan and Justin applied the hidden handicaps, Coral Bridgland, Eileen Sims and Leigh Bradford recorded their first club wins by winning their respective divisions. Handicapper Justin Curran continued his fine season by taking out the Backmarkers section. Kate Bramley was the winner of the 5 km sealed handicap.
