Darriwill Farm Highton ‘Not-the-Grammar-School’ 10 km Virtual Race

Two first timers were among the 84 runners participating in the virtual running of the Darriwill Farm 10 km sealed handicap. This race replaced the usual Grammar School run along the Hovell’s Creek Bike Path. It was committeeman Erik Bumbers who won easily from newcomers Tania de Koning Ward and David Henderson. Bumbers is steadily working back to his best after a horror run with injuries over the last 18 months. Those who ran their race early in the morning later in the week needed protection from the frosty conditions. Hayley Newman remained unbeaten in the female fastest battle whilst Marcus Overman earned his first fastest male honour.
