The Running Company Geelong ‘Not-the-Belmont Park Sealed’ 15 km or 5 km Virtual Race
A field of 52 runners participated in the virtual running of the Running Company 15 km sealed handicap. This was the final race of the special sealed series. The early birds had the best of the conditions with the weekend competitors having to battle the fury of the wintry blast. It was newcomer Katie Hayes who had the best adjusted time from second year runner, Anhthu Nguyen, with long time stalwart of the club, Vin Gasper, who is a long distance specialist in third place. Fourth placed Catherine Allison, another second year performer, had the fastest overall time. Each of these first four won their respective divisions of the race. The fastest male was Marcus Overman.
For those not wanting to tackle the 15 km, there was a consolation 5 km and Liam Hanrahan was the fastest and also first on adjusted time over his 21 rivals.
