Another great morning for running welcomed the 95 starters in the Profeet 10 km sealed handicap held along the Barwon River paths. New member, Georg Fellner held off Daryl Burns to win the male section by 120 metres. In the female section, it was Natalie Mensch by a similar margin over Sam Bennett. When the handicappers applied the hidden handicaps, it was consistent placegetter, Jeanette Morton who won the Frontmarkers. Last week’s winner, Madeline Crawford, made it two wins in a row by winning the Middlemarkers. Last year’s Best First Year Runner, Dan Wright, snared his maiden success with a strong run to win the Backmarkers division. In the Newcomers division, David Harrison was successful. The Rory Wilson Shield for the best age graded run was won by Ken Walker for the second consecutive year with a score of 88.99%
