The Injury Clinic 8k Handicap

A mild winter morning with a moderate breeze greeted the field of 70 who turned out at Fyansford for the running of The Injury Clinic 8 km handicap on Sunday.

The testing hilly course with grass and gravel sections generally favours the stronger backmarkers but middlemarker, Eloise Gordon who ran second last week at Wurdiboluc, scorched away to score by 150 metres from Rob Solly with Michael Morton 120 metres away third.

Gordon is a third year member and her first open handicap win came in her twenty-first race. Jane White was narrowly the fastest female and Liam Drady took another step to regaining the male club championship he won in 2021.
