Carol & Terry Crawford Funerals ‘Not-the-Waurn Ponds Sealed’ 8 km Virtual Race
Three first timers were among the 81 runners to tackle the virtual running of the Carol and Terry Crawford Funerals 8 km sealed handicap. This race commemorates those members who have passed away. Weather conditions throughout the week were conducive to good times. It was the relatively new members who dominated the major results. Second year runner, Damian Woodberry, continued his good recent form winning by half a minute from Josh Forster who just edged out the Western District’s Peter Kemp for second with a bunch of runners close behind, a tribute to the handicapper. Hayley Newman was the fastest female by two seconds from Catherine Allison who is leading the Consistency Award while Marcus Overman was the fastest male.
